Oakland: Shamanic power songs and songs for healing

Saturday June 23 at 1 – 4 pm, 865 52nd street

Sound and particularly songs are are used in every indigenous culture for healing and expressing power.

In this workshop we are connecting with the vibration of our songs in multiple ways

– power songs are vocal expressions of your true self and they are created for specific intention and/or time. Once the healing (or intention) has occurred the song dissipates.

– songs in nature are the subtle rhythm and melodies we can hear as we tune in with trees, plants and rocks

– healing songs are vibrations that can balance or energize the body, release excess energy or comfort the mind. The question remains – who is singing?

As a preparation for singing these songs we will learn to clear the energy in the room, open the circle for helping spirits to enter and dance and sing with our helping spirits. We will use journeying to connect us in the vibrational universe around us. We sit outside to connect with the plants and sing to them. We sing for each other as we look for harmonizing pulses in the body. Songs that come through this way are unique, individual and/or collective and created on the spot.

Join us in this fun filled experiential journey to the unseen world of vibrational medicine! No previous experience of singing or shamanic journeying required.

Limited to 8 participants. Reserve your spot by sending your payment through PayPal or contacting Minna at minna@harmoniaalto.com

Sliding scale: $50 – 80

Oakland, CA: Creative Journey to Inner Joy

Tuesdays May 29, 22 and 15 at 7 – 9 pm and 29 at 7 – 8:30 pm,  865 52nd street

I’ve recently noticed that becoming aware of joy in everyday life builds my capacity to face challenges in life. According to Louise Hay, blood represents joy in the body and arteries carry the joy of life within us. How does joy show up to you today?

In this three week course we travel inward using our inner vision and creativity to connect with joy. All these activities will be supported with intentional subtle live acoustic sounds of multiple instruments.

May 22 – In the second class we take a shamanic journey into the center of the joy, create a mandala as a representation of YOUR inner joy and journey back to the image for further embodiment of joy.

May 29 – In the third class we continue the exploration to inner joy with movement, rhythm and somatic meditation practices.

Allow yourself to become bold and open-minded and experience the art of “no rules” that can be calming, a jump-start to creativity, and increase happiness. Adopt a daily practice to build endurance. Life can be challenging in times, yet joy is always within us.

Sliding scale for the course is $50 – 80 (all three classes).
Sliding scale for individual classes: 1st and 3rd class are $15 – 25 each and the second class $20 – 30 (the mandala making material is included).

Minimum participation per session is 4 people and maximum 8. Confirm you participation by sending a PayPal payment and email to minna@harmoniaalto.com. Use the same email for any inquiries and location details.

Anna itsellesi hetki aikaa pysähtyä ja kuunnella kehon ja sielun sointua. Tule Sonic meditaatioon.

Aloitamme lempeillä qigong harjoituksilla, joiden tarkoituksena on valmistaa kehoa rentoutumaan päästäen irti mahdollisista kehon jännitteistä. Illan lopuksi palaamme takaisin omaan värähtelyyn laulamalla mantroja.

Tuo mukanasi avoin mieli, joogamatto ja viltti (tai jotain lämmintä), johon voit kietoutua rentoutumisen ajaksi. Aikaisempaa kokemusta ei tarvita.

Hinta 25 Euroa (Käteisellä paikanpäällä).
